What can I expect at the 45th Glamis Scottish Transport Extravaganza?
rganised by Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club. Show applicatuions can be downloaded from the svvc.co.uk site. Held in the outstanding grounds of Glamis Castle, this show is as admired today as it was when it unveiled in 2007. Situated in the heart of Angus, Glamis Castle is a historic 14th-century monument with breath-taking gardens and grounds. The show hosts a respectable variety of Classic Vehicles, Club Stands and Trade Stands, for those with a spot of buying in mind.
Admission on Saturday is £8 and £5, and on Sunday is £10 and £6. Opening times are 9.00am to 7.00pm.
There is no camping at the castle grounds, but there are a few campsites in the vicinity. About 4 miles North is Drumshademuir Caravan Park or just over 10 miles to the East is Greenhillock Glamping. Plus a few others dotted around.
